Torastan was established in 2010 with the aim of providing high quality, value added accounting and finance director services to ambitious, growing businesses in Scotland.

 

Cloud based tools such as Xero, Vend, Crunchboards, Receipt Bank and Drop Box have radically changed the way in which an accountancy practice can provide value added services to its clients.

 

No longer do clients have to suffer the "black box" approach where accounting records are maintained on a PC in the corner of the office (or, worse still, off-site in somebody else's office.) Regular access to, and visibility of, up-to-date accounting information can often be heavily restricted due to lots of reasons, from "the bookkeeper is not in on a Thursday" to "the bank reconcilation will be completed by the end of next month."
